This is the next generation of Prysm’s Laser Phosphor Display (LPD), which received prior awards for its low power requirements, high resolution, and ability to scale seamlessly and to a huge size. The new TD2 tile features 427x320 per tile resolution, allowing videowalls to scale to 2X and 3X HD. The underlying technology generates an image using ultra-violet solid-state lasers to scan the surface of the screen to excite the phosphor; tiles emit no heat and run completely cool. Each tile draws 30W with a lifespan of 60,000 hours and is completely recyclable. Since the release of the technology about two years ago, it has been applied in installations across many verticals markets.
