Xantech's XMusic digital music server, on display at CEDIA, can deliver four different songs to four different rooms of the home at the same time, when used in conjunction with a multi-zone system.

Xantech will introduce its new XMusic digital music server at the 2005 CEDIA show at booth #108 in Indianapolis Sept. 9-11.

The XMusic digital music server, when combined with a multi-zone system, is capable of delivering four different songs to four different rooms of the home at the same time. Its 160GB hard drive enables the server to store up to 2,800 hours of music at maximum compression. The versatile server allows the user to record at any of four different compression levels and adjust compression level song-by-song if desired, in order to optimize music capacity and quality.

It’s simple to access music with the XMusic server. Music can be organized by song title, album, artist name, or genre, and custom playlists can easily be created. The server is compatible with virtually all MP3 music players, including the Apple iPod, so sharing music with portable music players is never a problem.

Loading music into the XMusic is painless. A 20x ripping speed from the CD tray allows users to load their entire music collection quickly and easily. The built-in modem and Ethernet connection allow the XMusic to access song information and album artwork from the Internet. Feedback information can be sent to a television screen or Xantech SPLCD64V SmartPad LCD touchpanel featuring video display capability, so source information is readily available.

With the ability to deliver four separate music streams at the same time, the XMusic is perfectly suited for multi-zone, multi-source systems such as the Xantech MRC88CTL AV distribution system, which can deliver eight source components to eight different zones throughout the home.
