Martin Audio's new range of high-performance ceiling speakers feature perforated steel grilles, UL94 VO ABS baffles, thermal fuses, and steel back cans.

Martin Audio has introduced a range of high-performance ceiling speakers designed to comply with UL2043, UL1480, BS5839 pt8, and IEC60849/EN60849.

All of these provide exceptionally high-quality audio for the application and have perforated steel grilles, UL94 VO ABS baffles, thermal fuses, and steel back cans. Thermal fuses are included to prevent the possibility of a speaker exposed to fire creating a short circuit that could damage the amplifier. With this other alarm, speakers on the same circuit will still work.

The new speakers feature rising clamp connectors that accept up to 2.5-square-millimeter conductors and are fireproofed by a steel cover plate with a clamped cable entry.

Ceiling Series speakers are available in 40W 4in., 75W 6.5in., and 125W 8in. versions. All are 16Ω with switched 100/70V line transformers that have excellent low-frequency characteristics.

All models are two-way designs using soft dome tweeters for the widest dispersion and excellent off-axis performance. The exceptionally wide dispersion of the 4in. and 6.5in. models makes them particularly suitable for low-ceiling areas.

New Ceiling Series models include: the C4.8T, C6.8T, C8.1T, C10.1, C10.1T, and CS10.
