With high power for midrange applications, the EIP-HDT30 DLP theater projector from Eiki provides 8000 ANSI lumens and user-changeable color wheels along with two module bays for customizable signal connections. The dual-lamp unit includes a standard array of connectors for video with analog RGB on 15-pin D-sub I/O, DVI-D, HDMI, composite, component, and S-Video. There is also wireless and wired remote control on mini stereo jack, RS-232 9-pin I/O, and a LAN port. The native resolution is 1920x1080 and the dual lamp system allows four brightness levels. Other features include power zoom and focus, power lens shift, a built-in mechanical shutter, power management, keylock security, and custom warm up screen options.
The PowerLite Pro G5650W from Epson is a 3-LCD device with 4500 lumens light output and 1280x800 native resolution. Inputs include computer on 15-pin D-sub, HDMI, composite, 5-BNC analog, and S-Video. The unit can accommodate interchangeable lenses, but the standard lens is a manual zoom/focus, 21.28mm to 37.94mm type. Audio inputs drive an internal 7W speaker. One of the G5650W’s special features is built-in closed captioning with no need for any external decoders. This function can be enabled and disabled through the projector remote or menu. The large air filter has a recommended 3,000-hour cleaning cycle. The unit allows split screen displays and multi-PC projection over a network.
Equipped with a number of features to make installation easier and to better adapt to the physical environment, the Hitachi CP-X10000 has a wide lens shift, and it can operate with a variety of lenses selected to suit the venue. Beaming 7500 lumens through the lenses, the 3-LCD projector uses a 10-bit signal processor, provides a native resolution of 1024x768, and among its features are quick on, freeze, magnification, and direct power on. The unit includes two 15-pin D-sub computer connections, component, S-Video, HDMI, and DVI-D video inputs along with serial I/O ports and an Ethernet network control port. The CP-X10000 also features a 10,000-hour filter cleaning cycle and inorganic optics for longer projector life.
JVC designed the DLA-SH7NLG 4K to 2K projector with 5000 lumens brightness, dual and single lamp modes, and the ability to display two or four simultaneous 1920x1200 resolution images. These features allow the unit to perform well in 3D venues, museums, simulators, planetariums, and medical facilities. The adjustments enable RGB convergence to be set in 1/10 pixel increments for sources that are input through the four DVI-D video terminals. Remote control connects through the RS-232 serial port, and the unit provides an integrated Web browser interface on the network RJ-45. There is also a USB port. The projector can be fitted with either a fixed or zoom lens.
