RCF HS 1026 Spotlight

The RCF HS 1026 Spotlight ceiling speaker comprises a 3.5in. dual cone extended range loudspeaker designed for flush mounting in false ceilings or panels. Frequency response is 220Hz to 17kHz. An included 100V transformer provides taps for 20W, 10W, 5W and 2.5W operation. The horizontal coverage is 180 degrees at 1kHz, 170 degrees at 2kHz and 90 degrees at 4kHz.

Snap AV’s Episode ES-600C-IC-5 includes a front-mounted switch for tap adjustments (30W, 15W, 7.5W, 3.75W and 16ohm) post installation. The speaker features a 5in. poly cone woofer and a pivoting coaxially mounted 3/4in. titanium dome tweeter. The frequency response is 85Hz to 20kHz.

Best known for manufacturing speakers with a spherical form factor since the mid ‘70s Soundsphere’s new Q-CA provides 360-degree horizontal coverage with a more “traditional” appearance. Featuring a proprietary design-specific 6.5in. coaxial driver, the frequency response is 70Hz to 17kHz. A rotary switch on the baffle allows for transformer tap selection.

Speco TechnologiesNexus SP6NXCTUL feature industrial metal back cans and uses a 6.5in. polypropylene woofer and a coaxial 3/4in. silk dome tweeter. Available 70V transformer settings include 30W, 15W, 7.5W, 3.7W and 1.9W and the frequency response is 60Hz to 20kHz. As intimated by the last two letters in the model designation, the speaker has met or passed UL 1480 requirements for fire safety.

Tannoy is known for advancing the state of the art of “Dual Concentric” coaxial drivers. The OCV 8 comprises a coaxial 8in. woofer and a 1in. soft dome tweeter mounted in a cylindrical enclosure. The frequency range is 50Hz to 30kHz with an 80-degree conical coverage pattern.

The Yorkville Sound Coliseum C165W has a coaxial 6.5in. woofer and a 3/4in. titanium-coated tweeter that provides a frequency response of 100Hz to 20kHz. The speaker provides 70V taps at 7.5W, 15W, 30W and 60W, and 100V taps at 15W, 30w and 60W. The enclosure is aluminum and ABS plastic. The standard color is white.
