Panasonic PT-D12000U

Panasonic PT-D12000U

Featuring a four-lamp optical system, Panasonic’s PT-D12000U projector is equipped with geometric adjustment and edge-blending functions to accommodate a diverse pool of projection styles. Using the company’s exclusive Detail Clarity Processor to provide realistic textures and a DLP system to resist image degradation, the projector provides native WUXGA resolution to cover full HD specifications. The four-lamp system delivers 12,000/10,000-lumen brightness that allows the projector to continue working even if one lamp goes out, while Panasonic’s Dynamic Iris achieves 5,000:1 contrast without lowering the lumen brightness. Other features include 3D color management, full 10-bit picture process, an auto-cleaning robot to clean the air filter, and liquid cooling to absorb heat.

projectiondesign F82

projectiondesign F82

The F82 series 3-chip projector from projectiondesign is outfitted with Texas Instruments DLP technology for long lasting image quality. Available with a variety of filter sets ranging from sRGB to the optional DCI colors, the F82 series also comes with a cache of custom made projection lenses with key features that include infinitely adjustable IRIS and aperture settings, motorized zoom, and focus and shift with memory for use in multiple settings with programmed calibration. Each lens uses low dispersion (LD) and aspherical glass elements for high-quality focusing and sharpness, as well as high optical interfield contrast. Other native features are: 1080p, WUXGA, and SXGA+ resolution; brightness up to 10,000 lumens; and contrast up to 15,000:1.

Runco’s 3Dimension D-73d projector integrates 3D visualization based on the company’s proprietary Constant Stereoscopic Video (CSV) architecture, which uses passive-glass technology that is said to be superior to the viewer and usually only available in public theaters. Paired with Runco’s 3Dimension Series passive glasses, the projector features support for all HDMI 1.4a mandatory 3D formats, including its own 3Dimension Processing system. The D-73d uses Texas Instruments DLP dual imaging and has full HD 1920x1080 resolution as well as three contrast ratio settings: Infinity:1, 20,000:1 and 10,000:1. A solid-state optical path with no lamps to replace means zero maintenance.

SIM2 ProC4

SIM2 ProC4

Designed to meet the requirements of emerging digital cinema and post production markets, SIM2’s ProC4 projector partners Texas Instrument’s latest 1080p DC4 DLP chipset with SIM2’s ALPHAPATH die-cast engine. Using 10-bit video processing (with HD internal scaling and de-interlacing capabilities) to eliminate image artifacts, the ProC4 also offers 1920x1080 resolution, three lens options with motorized zoom and focus adjustment, brightness of 4,500 ANSI lumens, SIM2’s Live Color Management that allows control of color temperature via user-defined P7 adjustments, PROC4 gamma correction to determine the system’s response to the gray scale, and SIM2’s EasyCinema software that offers colorimetry calibration.

Sharp XG-PH80WN

Sharp XG-PH80WN

Sharp’s XG-PH80WN 3D projector, ideal for large venues, offers HD compatible wide-XGA native resolution and 5,600 lumens. Incorporating DL Link technology, the 3D-ready projector offers both 60Hz and 120Hz XGA (1024x768) and SVGA (800x600) sources along with WXGA sources in 1280x720 resolution with 60Hz and 120Hz down sampled. (When not being used for 3D projection, the XG- PH80WN offers full compatibility with traditional "2D" content.) With a contrast ratio of up to 2,100:1, the projector also includes a dual lamp system that provides redundant reliability—should one lamp go out performance can be maintain using the other lamp. Other features include a sealed DLP chip with interchangeable color wheel, five lens options, power H&V lens shift, and RJ-45 network connector for remote access via a web browser, diagnostics, and email sending.

Sony VPL-FH500L

Sony VPL-FH500L

Sony’s VPL-FH500L is a 7,000-lumen 3LCD projector offering 2,500 contrast ratio, native WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution and up to 8,000 hours of expected lamp life. Outfitted with Sony’s BrightEra technology, the projector is said to improve and maintain color purity throughout the life of the system by protecting the LCD panels against harmful UV light. Down time and maintenance costs and are reduced thanks to dual auto-switching lamps and synchronized lamp and filter replacement cycles. Featuring a wide range of inputs, an external monitor connection for the presenter's convenience, and projection capabilities such as side-by-side image projection and DICOM GSDF simulation gamma mode, the VPL-FH500L is ideal for large venue installations.
