2011 Innovative Product: AMX Enova DVX-3150HD All-in-One Presentation Switcher

This product made the list as the debut product for AMX’s InstaGatePro technology, which tackles a particularly annoying aspect of integrating HDCP sources—the mystery of keys. There are other solutions to key management; AMX’s approach is different because it eschews management in favor of rendering the keys themselves irrelevant. The DVX-3150HD also includes a older, similarly-minded AMX invention—SmartScale—to automatically respond to the full data table of any source’s EDID info. Harkening to analog-esque simplicity, the product joins controller, matrix switcher, scaler, analog-to-digital converter, amplifier, twisted-pair distribution, and DSP in 3RU.
