New Samsung Monitors Introduced For Commercial Markets

Samsung SyncMaster 740BX LDC monitor

Samsung Electronics America, a world-leading manufacturer of professional LCD and PDP display products, introduced its latest 17in. and 19in. LCD monitors, the SyncMaster 740BX and the SyncMaster 940BX. Targeted at government, corporate, and SMB markets, both monitors feature a notable 1000:1 contrast ratio, a quick 5ms response time, 1280x1024 resolution, 170-degree horizontal viewing angle, analog and DVI interface, as well as Samsung's proprietary Magic technologies: MagicBrightIIT, MagicColorT, and MagicTuneT.


  • MagicBrightII: Automatically optimizes brightness and contrast based on the specific application with the push of a button. Features Text, Internet, Sports, Movie, Game and Custom modes.
  • MagicColor: Enhances color in two modes: Full (overall enhancement) and Intelligent (enhances color without affecting delicate skin tones).
  • MagicTune: An easy-to-use onscreen interface that allows users to use their mouse to control all the Magic technology picture adjustments from one place.

"Priced at $249.99 MSRP for the 740BX and $309.99 MSRP for the 940BX the new monitors are highly competitive for the commercial market," says Andrew Weis, product marketing manager, display products, Samsung Electronics America.

"The 740BX and 940BX give Samsung's channel partners the ability to offer excellent specifications at competitive prices, making them a very appealing choice for commercial customers," Weis says.

In addition to the advanced display characteristics, both the 740BX and the 940BX have a height adjustable stand that pivots and swivels, as well as an ultra-thin bezel, which gives users the ability to tile the monitors side-by-side for increased productivity.
