Keeping with the trend of progressively moving thinner, Premier Mounts has released the world’s thinnest universal flatpanel mount, according to the company. The PTFM3765 extends .37in. from the wall. It features a spring-loaded bracket with a built-in safety release to secure the display to the wall plate. It also offers the extras needed to address the cable routing issues created by such a thin display; it comes with a 3 meter flat HDMI cable, and two ultrathin HDMI right-angle adapters to allow other cables to be used. It supports most 37in.-to-65in. displays up to 100lbs., and it includes a hardware kit with universal spacers to ensure display compatibility, and mounting hardware for wood, concrete, and metal stud structures.
Premier’s GB-INWAVP provides in-wall space for cable routing and power behind a flatpanel display. It features easy installation in a post-construction environment in either a vertical or horizontal orientation. It includes knockouts for both AC power and AV cables, as well as a UL-approved junction box.
Premier’s ECM series ceiling mounts provide unique solutions for mounting flatpanel displays, especially for digital signage or other public-display scenarios. The company provides integrated cable management to ensure a clean install, and the mounts fit most 37in.-to-63in. displays. The ECM series includes four models: the ECM-3763S, which holds a single display; the ECM-3763D, which supports two displays back to back; the ECM-3763T, which arranges three displays in a circular array; and the ECM-3763Q, which handles four displays in a circular array.
Spectrum Industries offers two flatscreen carts with unique features. The carts are available in a height of 37in. or 44in. Both offer the option of a flatscreen stand capable of supporting a display up to 50in. They feature an attractive combination of either Indigo Organix laminate and Dark Gray metal, or Wild Cherry laminate and black metal. Both carts feature front and rear locking doors, perforated sides and back for ventilation, a perforated loudspeaker area for integration of an audio system, an acrylic viewing panel for locked equipment that does not need to be accessed by the user, and a removable acrylic access panel perfect for allowing front-panel controls of a DVD player while maintaining the security of the locked cart. Optional features also include a videoconferencing camera shelf, rack shelves, fans, power strips, a retractable 15ft. data cord reel, and a custom cut logo.
Video Furniture International (VFI) has designed a series of flatpanel mounts to attach to its cart lineup. The PM-S is a single-display mount that accommodates a 32in.-to-50in. display; the PM-D is a dual-display mount capable of supporting two 32in.-to-50in. displays; and the PM-S-XL is a single-display mount designed to support a 52in.-to-70in. flatpanel display. All three mounts have heavy-steel construction and a powder-coated finish for durability. They offer adjustable display height and an adjustable camera shelf. The main pillar of the mounts is used as a cable chase to allow clean routing of cables from the mount and display to the VFI cart below without being seen. Options for the mounts include a cosmetic base cover, a top-mount codec plate, an eye-level camera mount, and a rear codec-mounting bracket. The PM mounts attach quickly and securely to pre-drilled VFI carts.
Video Mount Products (VMP) has addressed the issue of rackmounting flatpanel displays with its ER-LCD1017 universal rackmounting kit. The 9RU mount holds most monitors from 10in. to 17in. that are VESA 75 and 100 compatible. It is coated with a durable black powder finish.
VMP’s TT-LCD20B/S turntables offer a simple solution to the flatpanel displays using manufacturer-provided stands. The turntable offers easy swivel adjustments for the perfect viewing angle. It measures 20in. wide by 14in. deep, and is capable of supporting displays up to 70lbs.
The VMP LCD-PV ceiling-mount kit combines a flatpanel mount along with a universal camera bracket. It is designed to allow public viewing of the display while allowing the camera to view or record the display viewer or space occupants. It includes the ceiling mount; adapters for VESA 75-, 100x200-, and 200-compatible mounts; and a universal camera-mount bracket.
