Smart Unveils New Products At InfoComm ’06

SMART Technologies has added eight new and updated products to its award-winning range of collaboration solutions for corporate and teaching environments, making this the largest product announcement in the company’s 20-year history.
New additions to Smart’s family of collaboration products:
SMART Board 600i interactive whiteboard system – The new system includes the new Unifi high-offset, short-throw projector mounted to the wall above a Smart Board interactive whiteboard. Complete with built-in audio, the 600i is easy to install, reduces shadows and eliminates floor cables.
SMART Board 690 interactive whiteboard – Ideal for classrooms and training rooms, the new 94in. Smart Board 690 interactive whiteboard is wider and has an aspect ratio of 16:9, offering 33 percent more active working surface than the 680 model.
Sympodium ID350 and ID370 interactive pen displays – The new Sympodium ID350 and ID370 interactive pen displays feature a sleek, bezel-less writing surface, two high-speed USB hubs, more functionality, and the latest release of Smart Board software.
Bridgit 3.1 Conferencing Software– Bridgit 3.1 has been updated to a cross platform web conferencing solution that can be used on both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
GoWire Smart Board Software Auto-Launch Cable (Smart Board accessory) – GoWire is a Smart Board software-enhanced USB cable that allows educators and presenters immediate access to Smart Board software without having to pre-install it on a specific computer.
Recent products joining the SMART line of customized customer solutions:
Actalyst 32in. Interactive Digital Signage – Overlay for 32in. flat-panel displays that fastens securely to LCD or plasma displays to create touch-enabled interactive surfaces. Actalyst interactive overlays now range in size from 32in. to 65in.
Smart Board software 9.5 – Included with all interactive whiteboard products, Smart Board software 9.5 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems is richer and more intuitive. Version 9.5 offers new features and resources that help users create, manage, teach with, and present digital content on Smart Board interactive whiteboards and other Smart products.
