Envision Peripherals Expands its Flat-panel Display Line

Envision Peripherals (EPI), home to the AOC- and Envision-branded displays, announced it will unveil its new 42in. HDTV plasma screen from AOC at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas during 2006 International CES. EPI will also showcase a full range of high-performance digital display solutions including LCD flat-panel and plasma TVs and ultra-thin LCD monitors. The company is also planning to release a 50in. HDTV plasma in the second quarter of 2006. The new 42in. plasma has a suggested retail price of $1,799.00.

The new AOC A42HD84 plasma is equipped with a 42-in. widescreen ideal for both home and professional settings. Designed with a sleek, high-tech look and slim profile, the model fits into any room environment and provides vivid detail for presentations, video conferencing, signage, and home theater entertainment. It can be easily wall-mounted or sit atop an included pair of legs.

Boasting a 1024x768 resolution and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, the unit presents a sharp, crisp picture for virtually any video and computer application. An expansive 160-degree(H)x 60-degree(V) viewing angle offers increased visibility from side viewpoints. Built-in 10W total speakers provide an excellent audio complement to the crystal-clear images.

The plasma display panel features a dual NTSC/ATSC tuner for cable and digital broadcasts, and multiple RGB graphic and video inputs that allow direct computer hook-ups to various multimedia sources such as cable or a satellite set-top box, DVD player, game console, or digital video camera.

Configuring the plasma display to your personal preferences is simple with the multi-function remote control. A multiple picture mode offers normal, zoom, wide, and cinema options. A parental control V-chip, closed captioning and electronic program guide (EPG) round out the features.
