Oxygen DCT Penta Gold Monitor series
Dec 27, 2010 3:19 PM
Oxygen DCT announces the introduction of its Penta Gold series of 10-bit LCD reference picture monitors. The Penta series monitors are built to order and use only grade-A LCD panels. Sixteen-bit oversampled input processing is employed for 3Gb/s (level A and B) HDTV and SD-SDI signals giving greater color accuracy and picture detail. The 12-bit signal processing helps to ensure the correct gamma to meet or exceed the ITU recommended 709 colorimetry specifications. The 10-bit LCD panel delivers unsurpassed detail, clarity, and color accuracy derived from the 16-bit input and 12-bit signal processing stages, according to the company. All 14 monitors in the Penta Gold series are designed to work well inside electrical tolerances, giving them a long life cycle and requiring minimum calibration—which saves broadcast users considerable time and money.
