360 Systems and Leightronix have announced a strategic relationship that has produced a cost-effective, broadcast-quality video server and automation suite that delivers a robust and dependable content management/distribution solution. The product combination is composed of any 360 Systems' Image Server, including the Image Server 2000, Maxx, or the just-introduced MAXX 6T, and the new Leightronix TCD/V3. The TCD/V3 is a fourth-generation video system controller specifically designed for 360 Systems' servers.

The Image Server family of video servers offers broadcast-quality performance and exceptional features that can be configured for many applications. Integration of Image Servers is now easier than ever as a result of the TCD/V3. The TCD/V3 is a network-managed controller featuring WinLGX, an improved built-in user interface for automation scheduling and management. WinLGX reads program clip information directly from the Image Servers, enabling operators to organize and schedule content stored on any networked server. The TCD/V3 also features comprehensive error-checking and conflict reporting.

When used in tandem with the TCD/V3 controller, broadcasters, cable networks, and pro AV integrators can create a network-based video content management and distribution infrastructure for control and play-out of as many as 16 Image Servers, or 48 direct-to-air channels. The 360 Systems/Leightronix combination delivers this capability at a fraction of the cost of comparable-quality vertically-integrated solutions.
