CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Awards
The Electronic Lifestyles Designer and Manufacturers' Excellence Awards are highly sought after in the industry, and higher standards and new categories have been put in place this year.
The Electronic Lifestyles Designer Awards have continued to evolve through the years to better serve the work of CEDIA's residential electronic systems contractor members. For 2008, the Small Home Theater and Theme categories have been revised, and a new category — Documentation — has been added. Requirements for all categories have been revised as well. The categories are Large Home Theater, Small Home Theater, Integrated Home, Special Project, Media Room, Hidden Installation, Dressed System, Theme, and Documentation. The deadline for entries is May 2, 2008.
To acknowledge CEDIA's outstanding manufacturer members, the Manufacturers' Excellence Awards competition has expanded to recognize the outstanding strides in technology that CEDIA manufacturer members dedicate their time to each year. There are three categories within this competition, each with its own guidelines and criteria. In the Best New Product category, 30 finalists will be announced in early July, and 10 winners will be announced at CEDIA Expo's Electronic Lifestyles Awards Banquet. In the Best New Technology category, three finalists will be announced in early July, and one winner will be announced at CEDIA Expo's Electronic Lifestyles Awards Banquet. In the Product Hall of Fame category, 10 winners will be announced at CEDIA Expo's Electronic Lifestyles Awards Banquet, and a Product Hall of Fame showcase will be introduced at CEDIA Expo 2009. The deadline for entries is May 9, 2008.
