Extron Electronics introduced the SCS 300 synch converter and stabilizer. The SCS 300 provides synch conversion between all common high-resolution sync formats—RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, and RsGsBs. It also compensates for poor quality or weak signals resulting from PC graphics cards or long cable runs using Extron's ADSP—Advanced Digital Sync Processing technology. The SCS 300 can be rack mounted or mounted at the display, supporting a wide range of installation requirements.

"The SCS 300 is a versatile problem solver that's equally at home in new or retrofit installations and rental/staging applications," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "It addresses potential issues with synch compatibility due to system-wide signal path changes and eliminates the cumulative effects of excessive sync processing, ensuring reliable image reproduction with virtually any digital display."

For ease of installation, the SCS 300 features front- and rear-panel video outputs to support both rack mount and at-the-display applications. The SCS 300 is housed in a 1RU, quarter-rack-width metal enclosure.

ADSP is an exclusive Extron technology that conditions synch signals to provide reliable operation with a variety of signal sources and display types. ADSP re-establishes the timing relationship between synch and video signals, regenerates the synch waveform, and restores the synch voltage level to TTL level.
