Stratos Optical Technologies’ HMC fiber-optic connector is available in 2-and 4-channel configurations, providing the reliability expanded-beam (EB) technology in a more compact format for use on smaller, portable equipment as well as with high-density connector panels. The HMC is small enough for use with state-of-the-art HD broadcast and cinema cameras and disk recorders, and in other situations where space is limited. The harsh-environment, deployable fiber connector combines Stratos’ EB technology with hermetic sealing in order to withstand moisture and particulate contamination. This technology also features hermaphroditic connecting, eliminating the fuss about male and female ends.
