The OTS-1HD2DA from Opticomm provides for the digital transmission of one channel of HD-SDI video with loopback and two channels of stereo AES/EBU digital audio at broadcast quality.

All units come in an insert-card version. The cards can be inserted into Opticomm’s 16-slot, 19in. rackmountable card cage (OT-CC-16-100) or one of the company’s smaller Optiva Desktop Card Racks (OT-DTCR series). The Optiva desktop card racks can handle one, two, or four insert cards, creating compact, mountable, standalone systems.

The use of separate OT-DTCR enclosures allows for future flexibility and expansion, as all cards are hot-swappable and can be used in any enclosure. Each one of the card housing units operates with an appropriate power supply.

This system can be purchased without an optical port as an add-on to an existing Optiva system daisy-chain. The Optiva bandwidth requirement of this system is 1894Mbps.

The system complies with SMPTE 292 for uncompressed HD-SDI transmission and is compatible with the MDM-7000 series for WDM and CWDM multiplexing. It prevents EMI, RFI, and ground loops.
