SCAN CONVERTERS

The Kramer Electronics VP-504xl and VP-503xl scan converters convert computer graphics video signals with resolutions up to UXGA (1600×1200) to either NTSC or PAL signals (selectable via dip switches) in either composite video or S-Video (Y/C) formats. Additionally, the VP-504xl will scan-convert HDTV signals with resolutions of 480p, 576p, 720p, and 1080i in either the RGB or component video color space (YPbPr/YUV). Each of the converters has a convenient button that automatically adjusts the phase, frequency, and position of the image so that it will be aligned properly on screen. This button should be used every time the signal source is changed.

CABLE CONNECTOR

The Neutrik Crimp-XLR is the crimp termination version of the company's XX- and DLX-series connectors, an ideal solution for volume cable assemblies and solderless RoHS applications. It is available in several models for greater versatility and faster assembly. The three-pole FXX (NC3FXX-A-D) and MXX (NC3MXX-A-D) cable connectors are terminated on semi-automated machines and include boot assembly and cable testing, while the three-pole FXX and MXX connectors (NC3FXX-HA/NC3MXX-HA) and the three-pole NC3FD-LX-HA and NC3MD-LX-HA chassis connectors are terminated with hand-crimp tools.

INTERCONNECTS

The VizionWare Hi-Wirez product line, in addition to HDMI solutions, now includes DVI and DVI-to-HDMI interconnects, both of which deliver superior image quality from DVI cables. The new interconnects provide the same superior active digital technology as VizionWare's HDMI interconnects. Accessories include a swivel adapter, which allows 170 degrees of cable-bend installation flexibility, and an HDMI locking mount.

INTERFACE CARD

Aviom's new 6416Y2 A-Net interface card interfaces between Yamaha consoles and mix engines and Aviom's Pro16 personal monitor mixing system — providing inputs, outputs, and control on a single card. It is compatible with all Aviom Pro64 series products, and when combined with an ASI A-Net systems interface module, can also be used with the A-16II personal mixer. The card supports up to 16 channels in and 16 channels out simultaneously, as well as variable sample rates of 44.1kHz/48kHz or 88.2kHz/96kHz.

MULTIMEDIA CABLING

Wireworks AV2000 multimedia cabling is ideal for multimedia presentation rooms, corporate boardrooms, classrooms, and other integrated communications applications. It connects multimedia systems through one simple and reliable plug-in, offering a practical, time- and cost-efficient solution for both the installer and the user. The system combines audio, video, and data control signals through a sophisticated hybrid connector that replaces multiple fragile tails and connectors. AV2000 allows each system to match specific equipment requirements. Components are configured to match customers' requirements; all tails can be terminated to meet system requirements.
