The new Science and Congress Center in Darmstadt, Germany, has selected Opticomm’s fiber-optic communication systems to manage the transmission and display of media throughout the facility.

The state-of–the-art conference center includes the integration and use of Opticomm’s flagship product line, the Optiva platform, along with the Optilinx 144-port optical switch and RGB-4000 series units. When used together, these devices provide lossless transport of high-quality video, audio, and data signals within the conference center.

The Congress Center chose Opticomm solutions for their flexibility, upgradeability, and multiprotocol support. The center needed a system that was future-proof, and that could send any signal anywhere in the building. It also wanted the ability to add additional signals and formats later without having to modify the newly installed infrastructure.

Using the most advanced technology, Optiva and Optilinx can deliver high-definition video and digital audio throughout the facility. No compression is used, and no compromise is made. All locations receive their feed over optical fiber, ensuring that uncompressed signals reach their destinations unaffected by external factors.
