LightSpeed Technologies has introduced the new LT 71 LightMic, its unique wireless microphone. LightMic is a hands-free, pendant-style microphone for the teacher and a handheld pass-around microphone for the students. The LightMic underwent thorough ergonomic testing and is designed both for the teacher and for students. The pendant-style microphone was created to fit both around the neck and comfortably in a small hand. The LightMic can quickly detach from the lanyard for use by a student. The switches were designed for ease of tactile identification, and avoiding accidental actuation.

This lightweight (less than 4oz.), compact infrared transmitter floods the room with an infrared signal that, when combined with a LightSpeed sensor, guarantees no drop outs—even when the teacher is facing a whiteboard.

In addition to ensuring high-quality sound and speech intelligibility, the new LightMic is virtually unbreakable and is designed to survive the many falls that tend to occur in a classroom environment. It comes with an industry leading five year warranty. If it breaks because of a drop, LightSpeed will repair or replace the LightMic for free.
