DVIGear MXP Series

DVIGear MXP Series

The MXP Series digital matrix switchers from DVIGear provide cross-platform routing of a wide range of digital signal formats including: DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, SDI, HD-SDI, G3, analog VGA, etc. Modular I/O cards and a variety of available card frames enable application specific configurations with array sizes from 8x8 to 80x80. A complete range of end-point interfaces allow remote connections to and from the router to be distributed great distances using either copper or fiber-optic cables. The MXP Series' RS-232, TCP/IP, and built-in web browser interface offers extensive control possibilities, and each input can emulate EDID from a library of more than 100 EDID values, 50 of which can be user defined.

Ensemble Designs Avenue Flexible

Ensemble Designs Avenue Flexible

It's a handy feature to be able to see a thumbnail image of the source about to be switched, and Ensemble Designs has incorporated this into the Avenue Flexible matrix router. It can switch cleanly between asynchronous sources and make digital audio sample rate conversions. Configurable in a number of versions from 8x2 all the way up to 28x2 or 8x22, the unit includes signal diagnostics, built-in black and bar generator, and supports HD, SD, 3Gbps SDI, ASI, and 310M. It can be controlled through a Web interface, front panel, the Avenue Router iPad app, serial, TCP/IP, and SNMP.

Extron XTP CrossPoint

Extron XTP CrossPoint

Designed for sending high-resolution video, audio, IR, bi-directional RS-232, Ethernet, and power up to 330ft. on Cat-5, the XTP CrossPoint digital AV switching system and distribution system from Extron uses XTP transmitters and receivers in an expandable configuration. Available in sizes from 4x4 to 32x32, the frame can also be fitted with I/O boards for direct HDMI, DVI, VGA, video, and audio connections for shorter signal runs. Other features include a realtime monitoring system watching I/O boards, XTP links, and fans. Dual redundant power supplies are also available. The switcher is controllable on RS-232, Ethernet, and the front-panel USB port, and it can transmit control signals on the same Cat-5 cable used for AV.

FOR-A MFR-3232

FOR-A MFR-3232

The MFR-3232 from For-A made its first appearance at NAB 2011in a 2RU cabinet with inputs that automatically recognize and support 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and ASI signals. Features include tally connections with peripheral devices, automatic source name tracking, and an interface function that allows synchronous operation by linking multiple routing switchers. The MFR Series units can also be Ethernet linked to those in the MFR-5000 Series and a built-in web server allows browser based control. There are also several remote control units and redundant CPUs available as optional features.

Gefen GefenPRO 16x16 3GSDI

Gefen GefenPRO 16x16 3GSDI

The GefenPRO 16x16 3GSDI Matrix Router from Gefenv switches any 16 sources to any 16 destinations using 3G SDI, ideal for broadcasters and rental and staging environments. Each source can be viewed on one or all outputs simultaneously. The matrix supports high-definition resolutions up to 1080p and a dual power supply suits mission-critical applications. Control includes front-panel buttons, IR remote, LAN, and RS-232 operation. Advanced EDID configuration allows uploading of custom internal or external EDID settings and a status LED shows the routing setup. The unit supports resolutions up to 1080p and 1920x1200 along with DDWG standards for DVI. Accessories include a remote IR extender module with a 6ft. cable.

Harris Platinum

Harris Platinum

Harris has added new features to its Platinum routers including matrix expansion for monitor walls and multiviewers. Supporting various cables runs on coax and fiber, the matrix can tie two routing frames together and support a 512x1024 solution. The new MADI interfaces can input up to 128 mono audio sources for connection of up to four audio consoles. The integration of the HView Hybrid SX multiviewer combines baseband and broadband monitoring, graphics, integrated test and measurement, and VNC remote desktop control. It is available as a standalone multiviewer or as a combination multiviewer/router within the Harris Platinum platform.

Sierra Video Systems Platinum

Sierra Video Systems Platinum

Available in configurations from 8x8 to 128x128, the Platinum from Sierra Video Systems, a Kramer Electronics company, handles 3Gbps data rates through modules including either eight inputs or eight outputs in an 8RU frame. The unit can be controlled via RS-422, RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet while the video modules, CPU boards and power supplies are hot-swappable. Options include a fiber I/O board set and a D-to-A video card. The unit features intelligent re-clocking, automatic cable equalization and GPI/GPO control, and alarms along with email alerts. Controllers and redundant power supplies are available options.
