Lightware USA MX-FR80R

Lightware USA MX-FR80R

The MX-FR80R matrix switcher frame from Lightware USA supports a range of signal formats including DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI, DVI-HDCP, HDSDI, Cat-5 twisted-pair, and/or fiber optic. The frame can be expanded from 8x8 with 8-channel I/O cards up to 80x80. The Dual Link DVI I/O boards have four channels per board. Any type of input signal can be tied to any type of output connection and the MX-FR80R is equipped with redundant power supplies. Control options include RS-232, RS-422, TCP/IP, and a built-in web server. All frames are Vista Spyder and Barco Encore compatible.

Magenta Research Voyager VG-Matrix 160

Magenta Research Voyager VG-Matrix 160

The headline feature for the Voyager VG-Matrix 160 is its ability to switch with virtually no delay. The fiber-optic-based matrix switch was designed by Magenta Research to be expanded to 640 total ports, and any single port on Voyager’s eight-port I/O cards can be configured as an input or an output. It features automatic format conversion between video and audio signal types, and it can switch and scale digital (with HDCP) and analog video, audio, and serial for distances up to 18.6 miles. The Voyager VG-Matrix includes dual redundant, hot-swappable power supplies with dual AC inputs.

Opticis OMM-1000

Opticis OMM-1000

Opticis has equipped the OMM-1000 16x16 DVI electrical/optical router with input and output cards composed of four DVI ports and control options that include the front panel, RS-232, and LAN using Hyperlink terminal, telnet, or a web browser. The system supports video resolutions up to WUXGA and allows three types of user-configurable EDID management: default mode, auto mix mode, and output copy mode. The frame has dual hot-swappable power supplies and diagnostics.

Opticomm High Definition Multimedia Matrix (HDMX)

Opticomm High Definition Multimedia Matrix (HDMX)

The High Definition Multimedia Matrix (HDMX) from Opticomm can switch and convert any input signal to any output signal. Based on a modular I/O card frame, it is a multi-format signal switcher with format conversion. The HDMX is available in a 16x16 or 32x32 I/O size chassis with redundant, hot-swappable power supplies. I/O can be expanded from 4x4 up to 32x32 via modular cards (four inputs or four outputs per card). Available signal formats include fiber-optic, DVI, HDMI, 3G HD-SDI, Cat-5/6, VGA, component, composite, and digital/analog audio. Control and monitoring are performed via a front-panel touchscreen or by USB/RS-232/Ethernet port connection to a PC.

Pesa PRO-3GSDI-1616

Pesa PRO-3GSDI-1616

With support for all common SMPTE and ITU standard serial digital video signals and embedded audio, the PRO-3GSDI-1616 routing switcher from Pesa handles data rates from 50Mbps to 3Gbps and video transports up to 1080p/60. The PRO-3GSDI-1616-C features local panel button control, while the PRO-3GSDI-1616-PB and “C” model can be connected to remote control panels via Ethernet. The 1RU frame fits front-loading, hot-swappable card sets and can accept an optional redundant power supply and controller module. Each signal is re-clocked for standard SMPTE formats and for non-standard video the re-clocking can be bypassed.

Thinklogical VX640

Thinklogical VX640

The VX640 6.25Gbps video and peripheral router from Thinklogical supports DVI, SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI Dual-link DVI and Dual-link SDI, and peripheral signals such as USB 1.1, USB 2.0, and audio. Power supplies, cooling fans, fabric switch cards, and pluggable optics (SFP+) are hot-swappable and the I/O boards allow expansion in steps of 20. A Windows or Linux computer can control the unit via network or a third-party control system can connect on a serial port. There is also realtime monitoring and diagnostics of operating temperature, power supply voltages, and other parameters.

TVOne C3-340 CORIO

TVOne C3-340 CORIO

TVOne selected scaled output modules for the C3-340 CORIO matrix router so that it can provide up, down, and cross conversion between a number of analog and digital video formats through 3G-SDI. All of the unit’s functions can be remote controlled on serial connections with RS-232/422/485, USB, or on IP links, with direct control via the unit’s front panel LCD. Integral audio switching is provided to route audio from the HDMI-compatible DVI input or SDI input to the DVI and SDI outputs. The 4RU frame also features an optional redundant, hot-swappable internal power supply unit and power inlet.

Utah Scientific UTAH-100/UDS

Utah Scientific UTAH-100/UDS

Utah Scientific’s UTAH-100/UDS Universal Distribution System combines a multirate digital routing switcher with the economy of simple distribution amplifiers. Based on I/O modules with 16 ports, the 4RU frame allows any input signal to feed up to 144 output ports. The unit’s flexibility is extended through the use of the award-winning FLEX-I/O modular I/O system, which allows users to select the signal format of each I/O port from a complete range of options including analog video, digital video over fiber or coax, DVI and HDMI, as well as IP-encapsulated ASI video streams.
