Linx Prime, RGB Spectrum's new family of CrossXFormat switchers, adds an HD/3G-SDI dual-channel card to its currently available DVI/HDMI and RGB/DVI input modules. Video inputs from cameras and production devices using this high end format are converted for distribution and display on HDMI and DVI devices, which has the advantage that these are less costly than HD/3G-SDI monitors. The new card option also offers built-in equalization to support cable runs up to 120 meters at 3.0 GHz or 200 meters at 1.485 GHz.
The HD/3G-SDI dual-channel input cards comply with the SMPTE 292M and 424M standards and support a link rate of up to 3.0 Gbps. Through the use of standard YPbPr, 4:2:2 color space and 8-bit per component sampling, a wide variety of serial digital sources can be switched with the highest fidelity available.
Native resolutions supported include:
- 1280x720p at 60 and 59.94Hz
- 1920x1080i at 50 and 59.94Hz
- 1920x1080PsF at 24Hz
- 1920x1080p at 23.98, 24, 25, 59.94 and 60Hz
The Linx Prime graphical user interface, Web Control Panel (WCP), provides intuitive set-up and control. Command line operation is also supported through Telnet and an RS-232 connection, making integration with third-party control devices easy. Optionally, the RGB Spectrum BP-16 button panel provides simple one-touch selection of presets.
Linx Prime switchers are available in three frames sizes, supporting configurations up to 8x8, 16x16, and 32x32. With a selection of input modules, frame sizes and a dual-link option, Linx Prime switchers offer the flexibility to configure a system to meet the most demanding installations.
