3D Now has released the 3D Now Theater, an external 3D processor for 2D TVs and projectors. The 3D Now Theater is a non-anaglyphic frame-sequential stereoscopic processor that generates a true 3D viewing experience up to 1080p resolution on almost any 2D display, including those that operate at 50-60Hz. 3D Now Theater plays 3D content from virtually any 3D-enabled source in1080p. The 3D Now Theater utilizes 3D Now’s proprietary frame interleaving with active shutter technology. The processor recognizes over 26 different 3D formats and is upgradeable via firmware updates.
