Elan’s VIA! dj II digital music server comes in 160GB and 400GB versions. The server incorporates the Windows XPE operating system and includes an iPod interface that allows customers to use iTunes to view and transfer content to their iPod. Additional features include online upgrades, PC and Mac interfaces, backup and restore, and support for WMA files. The 160GB version is available in single-zone and four-zone versions, and the high-capacity version runs to four zones. Users can drag and drop audio files to the server from a PC or Mac. Music is sortable by track, era, number, artist, album, and genre, and six recording quality levels are provided: WAV (uncompressed), standard MP3 (128KB), medium MP3 (192KB), high MP3 (320KB), and standard- and high-quality WMA.
